Entering Through Their Windows

It's such a privilege to be ministering online. I'll admit I came in kicking and screaming. What's a 59 year old grandmother doing on Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter and writing on 7 blogs? But God called me to do it. I said Yes and now I'm in this Internet Superhighway Mission Field (ISMF). I'm reminded of Joel 2:9 "They rush upon the city; they run along the wall. They climb into the houses; like thieves they enter through the windows."

Here we are, who are carrying the Light, entering "through the windows". The Windows. Microsoft Windows. In Joel, the Holy Spirit describes this army of the Lord, we who believe in Jesus as the Son of God and the Kings of Kings.

We've been picked, prepared and now feel the prompting to get ready for a new and tremendous move of God on the Earth. Like never before, humans will see the Hand of God and know He loves them and all news of Him being far away, hateful or mean will be revealed as lies.

Of course many of us have been taught erroneously in church as children, but we've been going through preparation stages. It's been hard, and strange much of the time. But soon, we are going to see why it had to be that way. The Lord has also prepared this machine, the Internet, to get His Word out. And we are coming in to the people that need to hear a word, believers and unbelievers, through their Windows.

Wearing the Right Garment

You know I got sick of my complaining spirit and the Holy Spirit helped me take it off. Then I put on the joy spirit - oh! it's fur and silk lined with a warm filling. Ooo la la! I'm going to rejoice in each moment. Especially this one!

Words

A lot of things we go through is because people who say they love us, don't believe God has called us to do and act the way we are. They speak against us and those words hurt us just because they are said, whether we hear them or not. Words are powerful whomever says them but especially a believer in Jesus Christ. When good words are spoken about us anywhere, it is uplifting even if we don't hear them. When these negative family and friends see the effect of their words on us, not knowing that's what is happening, they conclude that we are rebellious, of on a tangent or having a nervous breakdown. Be careful what you say to people. It can hurt them. Be care what you say about someone. It can hurt them, even if they don't hear you. I may have shared in my blogs times when God tells me to bind up words some are saying about me. He lets me know that some people somewhere are saying negative things about me or about the call on my life or about His work in me and I am to bind up those words in Jesus' name and cast them out of this world. Something my late dad used to say comes to mind when someone in the family seemed to be making a wrong decision and I would ask him what he thought. He would say, "Well, I don't want to oppose it because in doing so I might be fighting God" So be careful people and let the Holy Spirit lead you.

Out for a Walk - Quick!

When we talked last I was 56 years old. Imagine. I'm now 58.
Nice to talk to you again. I went out for a walk. Ahhhh! Quickly before I could prepare too much, I headed out to Lake Newport. if you don't do it quick, tentacles of doubt and suckers of distraction take hold and you sit back down in your comfort zone and wish. So I'm out here before 9 a.m. with my first cuppa, reading the Word and writing. It must be 60 degrees in mid-July in the N.E., USA and a steady breeze is blowing. Only I and an Indian couple are out here. He in his 'sahib' turban and her in her Indian tunic & pants. We share a bench because if I had known the red water bottle here was hers and not a forgotten gem I would have sat elsewhere. The Sahiba's I guess, since that's the name on it. Or that's her first name and they have a houseful of people, so she has to identify her own. If I had known we would have had no reason to look into each others eyes and smile, besides the "Hello" we made on the way. So I'm glad God made sure I sat here. I bet he is a doctor. I bet they have oodles of money and very successful children. The stories we make up:) Oh the lake. Beautiful.

God put me through a study today of receiving “pressed down, shaken together and running over …men pouring things into my bosom”. Look! If you want to Give – and you do, and you want to Give as Christ leads – and you do, then you better be ready to receive. Because here it comes. Luke 6 38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. As many of you know God has had me on this faith walk in which He told me to quit my job and walk on through life trusting Him to provide everything for me. He has. Of course Satan has been messin' with me and I have no home, car, money...but God is blessing me abundantly with everything I need and there is always somewhere for me to live and definitely food to eat. The walk and provisions come with Him putting me places where I am a blessing...you know like Elijah and the widow of Zarephath scenario. Along the way here lately, more and more and more people are giving me things. I was getting uncomfortable, but Father said I'd better get used to it. Since I had agreed to give up my life and do what He said do and therefore lost everything (doesn't happen to every believer), I'd better get very comfortable with receiving a lot of stuff 'Man' was going to (and is) pouring into my bosom. Get ready if you have allowed yourself to be led into the wilderness. Get ready if you have given up your life to follow Christ. Get ready. Heaven is open over your head and people are going to start pouring things into you bosom (your life). Get ready!

Did God Send You To The Wilderness?

LOL. I'm trying out book titles. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think maybe I should say something more exciting than Faith Journey Now. Even though a faith journey it has been. Perhaps I should think of the audience the Lord God has in store for me. Perhaps I should consider the book signings I will do and who would invite me to speak at them. What title would cause that to be. You can see more about my journey at my blog, The title above says more about how I really feel about this faith journey. Especially, as I still hang on and much of what the Lord said would happened hasn't. The most important thing is to 'fix your eyes upon Jesus' - and you better believe you can see him and are looking at Him. You will loose your grip, else.

Are You Twice Dead?

Jude talks about people in Church being "twice dead" (Jude verse 12c). I've never known what the Lord meant through Jude, but I heard a teaching on it recenty and I believe this is from the Lord. Jude is saying there are people in the Church that Jude was complaining about who don't have anything to talk about that God is doing in their lives right then. These church folk only have tales about what God did with them at one time. It is all old stuff, dead stuff, happened long time ago. They have nothing God is doing in them right now.

Oh my!, I thought. Here I am, in a rush to get though this time. But let me rejoice because this is a time when God is doing something in my life. God forbid I move on and God not have anything for me to do.

WHAT DOES GOD EAT?

Dahntay my six year old grandson asked me the other day, “Grandmother, what does God eat?” Well of course I said God doesn’t need to eat, but just as I said that the Holy Spirit said, “Tell the boy I eat his praises”. And so I complied. As any six year old he drank it in and God caused it to come out of my mouth so smooth and clear that Dahntay didn’t even have a comeback or further questioning. “God eats your praises Dahntay. When you tell Him how great He is and how much you love Him, He eats that.”

I was grateful for the Lord’s intervention because I had never thought of that myself.

Ode to the Spirit of the Living God

He will lead me to the right things.
It won’t be hit and miss, but I can trust my spirit now to follow Him.
I’m listening to Him and seeing Him, even if not with physical eyes.
He’s here right now and loving on me.
He’s relaxed so I can be relaxed.
There is nothing to fear.
He is looking at me.
Watching me.
Looking at the world with me.
He’s actively pressing me forward. Gently encouraging.
Don’t step out of the work, He says.
Stay in. Slow down.
Enjoy every moment.
Don’t get off yet and go your own way.
Don’t listen to those who are saying it’s up to you.
It’s not up to you, it’s up to Me
and I appreciate you giving Me the room
you’ve given for Me
to do what I need to do.

Where is the Breakthrough?

On a online forum recently a sister wrote, “Where is the breakthrough?” I hear you sister I’m waiting for my breakthrough too. We are wondering what is going on? How long will we wait. God has sent me out, without a purse, extra cloak, etc., as he sent the 12 & 72 in the Gospels, and He has told me to go on in faith and I did. I’m still out here, waiting on Him, like a waiter, serving Him. He gave me instructions and tightened me up even more over the last few weeks, that I should write children stories and keep writing. And as a pastor said recently, I’ve been "writing with one hand and doing spiritual warfare with the other".

But I felt for this sister who was so frustrated because the breakthrough was not coming. What I saw from the exchange in that forum, is that people don’t have patience anymore with a whole lot of words, they want some action. All kind of talking is just tiring us out. We want some action like Jesus talked about – go into all the world preaching the gospel, healing the sick and casting out demons. We’ve grown up in church that harps on going into all the world preaching the gospel, but very little miracles or spiritual warfare. We’re annoyed with our ‘shepherds’ and ourselves and now we want real answers when things don’t work out.

The only One who can give us real answers is the Holy Spirit. He’s here now. He’s here to teach us. He’s available to us and we have to reach in to Him and give up trying to figure it out and stop expecting Him to be on our timeline. When is it going to come!!!! How long should I wait? Am I doing the wrong thing? I must be wrong, ‘cos God’s not wrong. What spiritual warfare should I be involved in?

What I’ve found when I get into this whirlpool of thought, is to look up and start praising God. Even though I can feel the frustration of my sister, I am grateful she came out and expressed herself, because it sounded so much like me, that I was riveted. Those whirlpool moments do stop but it’s not over. They stop and then when I think I’m pretty well stable in faith, they hit me again when I least expect it.

One assurance I have from God is that He will not disgrace me. That I will not regret following Him. The lack that I’m experiencing now is just a hit at my pride, because I have to stay with friends and family and they have to supply all my needs. So I am taken care of, just like God said, but not the way I want or expected. I am grateful, however, for friends and family and that my lot was not to have to live in a homeless shelter, which two women of God that I know, had to go through.

I see that there are so many of us so frustrated that the Lord is going to have to use all kinds of ways to keep us on track and on our way to victory. Buckle up kids, it’s going to be like a Get Smart movie!!! Don’t miss it ‘by that much'.

Happy New Year & Praise God for Haiti

Welcome to the new year everyone! How awesome that we get to be here. Even though it's already the 13th, it is still a new year and decade. How wonderful that we still have this life. Some of us wouldn't have minded leaving Earth last year and going on to Heaven, but we are glad to be here, as to live is Christ and to die gain for us that believe in Lord Jesus Christ.

I'm writing to you for the first time in 2010 on the day after Haiti experienced this horrible earthquake. Some of us have heard the prophecies that some terrible things, natural disasters, will happen this year. The Father in heaven has told us not to be afraid as He has already told us that these things would happen and they signal the end of the times we are living in now. We can rejoice, the Bible says, because this shows that the time for the coming of the Son of God is soon. Our redemption draweth nigh!

So we pray for Haiti and praise God with them as many, they say, over night were singing hymns and praising God. Amazing. We don't include Haiti as one of those countries we should pray for regarding their opposition to the gospel. But Haiti has been inundated over the decades by voodoo and many demons of oppression and poverty and bondage. So we should have been praying for them. But look at what our Lord Most High is doing. He has His people there in such numbers and they have been having such an effect, that hundreds of people know to praise God. One eyewitness said it was so beautiful to hear through the night, of darkness and after shocks, people singing praises to God. They said the singing was loud and so beautiful. I will let myself believe that it was so loud because angels were joining them in praise.

Folks, I tell you, with all the things God is doing in my life since January 1st, this just thrills my heart. God is awesome and He's got it. He's got it people. All we have to do is rest in Him. He will tell us what to do to help, how to pray and we can rely on His wisdom and Love.

I love you Haitian people and my granddaughter, Naomi Amber Remilekun Abrahams, who is half Haitian. God loves you Haiti and the devil will not win!

Hold it, hold it!

A friend put a word up on my Facebook wall. It was to the effect, don't be in such a hurry to get out of 2009 and jump into 2010 because this year has been so hard. Hold it, hold it, these last few days of 2009 may be where your breakthrough is.

Do you know that our God is mighty? Do you realize that He is right here now looking at us? Does it cause you to stop for a minute and contemplate how present He is. He is not absent or away on business or too busy for each and every one of us. He is here. The way you've behaved this morning; have you recognized that He is standing there watching you with love?

I'm telling you, this year for some of us, it has been such that we could have been tempted to believe God had left. That somehow He had got tired and taken Himself off the job. After all, this is His ministry and He should be able to shut it down whenever He wants to. Well, He hasn't. No matter how dragged in the mud we feel. No matter how hurt by family and friends. No matter how humiliated we've been in 2009. He, God the Most High, is still watching. He's intent on everyday of your life. 2009, 2010 it doesn't matter to Him - He's looking at you. He's watching you with His eye. Loving you, protecting you, molding you into the best you you'll allow Him to do.

My friend's words about not being so intent on Jan. 1st 2010 meant so much to me because Holy Spirit had just said something similar weeks before. I was jumping for joy as I thought of this year coming to an end. I was thinking about January 3rd, being the day I started moving from house to house, having no home of my own and now as it's comes around again in 2010, hopefully this year would be OVER! Holy Spirit cautioned me not to look at Jan 3rd, for the breakthrough my be any moment now, and my firm belief in that one date, may push my blessing further along.

Look up folks! Your redemption draweth near.

Storytelling with Seniors

As I move forward as a storyteller I have fond memories of these dear folks at Crescent Ridge Adult Day Care in Oxon Hill, Maryland. It's such a joy to do this with them and they are so receptive.

I Need Help On How to Get Ready for All of God's Blessings

A dear sister Ms. Retha on http://sistahfaith.ning.com/ asked this question on a forum. You’ll have to join and find me, to see this discussion. But she asked this question and it got me to thinking, back in February this year.

Getting ready for all of God’s blessings…oh my! What a thing! She has the presence of mind to think about how to get ready for them? God tells us about these blessings and how overwhelming they will be – more than you can think or imagine; so much that the ears of those that hear it will tingle; poured out from Heaven, so much that you won’t have room enough to contain it (that means, NO MATTER how much room you have now!); even if you shake it, press it down, it will still be running over; “abundant prosperity”!!!! I mean that’s a lot to handle.

Deuteronomy 28 echoes what others said in the discussion. Verse 1 says, “If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all His commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God.”

When I first saw the question, I was flabbergasted because Sis Retha knows she is about to be blessed by God financially and is wondering how to get ready. I’m expecting the same breakthrough any minute.

God wants us to have everything we need and actually the desires of our hearts. “Need” we understand, but “desires of our hearts” takes us to another level and for that our hearts have to be changed, so that we can receive the abundance. I don’t know about all of you, but even though I am from an earthly royal family, we have never been rich. Our Heavenly Father knows what moving into this new realm of having more than enough, until it overflows and to be “made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion”, will mean to me and He knows how I will react in my present state. I’m sure there’s “flesh burning” needed and adjustments to my attitude about others, so that I am fit to still “Go into all the world and preach the gospel” and not be so stuck up or so heaven bound that I’m no earthly good.

Preparation is going on in and around me right now. He is humbling me, breaking me down, burning flesh, pruning, crushing…oh people, it’s something else and very uncomfortable. I’ve been known, over the last few weeks to cry out, “No more!” “This is horrible” “I want out” “I can’t serve you anymore, Lord”. But now, I’m at a quiet, do nothing place. Do nothing except this writing He has asked me to do. And it’s the fun writing you know. The children’s funny, imaginative, make-believe, joyful, soulful writing. The kind that makes you smile as you write and wonder about the creativity He has let loose in you, to even come up with this plot and storyline. Now, today, I see that where I am, though still uncomfortable, humiliating, low…is really wonderful. I see all the wonderfulness of it, the family around me, the loving relationships and closeness I would never have been able to orchestrate, the unbelievable patience and kindness of people. It is a wonderful place, and a great lovely experience, mainly because The Lord God of Heaven and Earth, brought me here. I rejoice.

I wrote this February 11, 2009, but it’s still relevant today, November 13, 2009.
