Wearing the Right Garment

You know I got sick of my complaining spirit and the Holy Spirit helped me take it off. Then I put on the joy spirit - oh! it's fur and silk lined with a warm filling. Ooo la la! I'm going to rejoice in each moment. Especially this one!

Words

A lot of things we go through is because people who say they love us, don't believe God has called us to do and act the way we are. They speak against us and those words hurt us just because they are said, whether we hear them or not. Words are powerful whomever says them but especially a believer in Jesus Christ. When good words are spoken about us anywhere, it is uplifting even if we don't hear them. When these negative family and friends see the effect of their words on us, not knowing that's what is happening, they conclude that we are rebellious, of on a tangent or having a nervous breakdown. Be careful what you say to people. It can hurt them. Be care what you say about someone. It can hurt them, even if they don't hear you. I may have shared in my blogs times when God tells me to bind up words some are saying about me. He lets me know that some people somewhere are saying negative things about me or about the call on my life or about His work in me and I am to bind up those words in Jesus' name and cast them out of this world. Something my late dad used to say comes to mind when someone in the family seemed to be making a wrong decision and I would ask him what he thought. He would say, "Well, I don't want to oppose it because in doing so I might be fighting God" So be careful people and let the Holy Spirit lead you.

Out for a Walk - Quick!

When we talked last I was 56 years old. Imagine. I'm now 58.
Nice to talk to you again. I went out for a walk. Ahhhh! Quickly before I could prepare too much, I headed out to Lake Newport. if you don't do it quick, tentacles of doubt and suckers of distraction take hold and you sit back down in your comfort zone and wish. So I'm out here before 9 a.m. with my first cuppa, reading the Word and writing. It must be 60 degrees in mid-July in the N.E., USA and a steady breeze is blowing. Only I and an Indian couple are out here. He in his 'sahib' turban and her in her Indian tunic & pants. We share a bench because if I had known the red water bottle here was hers and not a forgotten gem I would have sat elsewhere. The Sahiba's I guess, since that's the name on it. Or that's her first name and they have a houseful of people, so she has to identify her own. If I had known we would have had no reason to look into each others eyes and smile, besides the "Hello" we made on the way. So I'm glad God made sure I sat here. I bet he is a doctor. I bet they have oodles of money and very successful children. The stories we make up:) Oh the lake. Beautiful.
